FAQ
What are parachute attaching straps?
Straps that connect a pack to the parachute harness during the jump, so the pack rides securely and can be released and lowered before landing.
Are PASS Straps single-point or dual-point release?
Both. You switch with a quick Velcro strap adjustment.
Do PASS Straps work for MFF?
Yes. They’re designed for nearly all modern MFF rigs, for stability in flight and a controlled release at chest height.
Will PASS Straps fit my jump pack?
They’re designed for jump packs with built-in attachment points and are tested with every version of the Mystery Ranch jump pack. For other packs, use the SOF Harness.
Do I need the SOF Harness too?
Only if your pack doesn’t have built-in attachment points. The SOF Harness System includes PASS Straps.
How do I lower the pack?
The release is smooth and predictable. Pull straight out from the chest with one hand, or rig each side to release separately (dual-point). The pack then separates freely and lowers on the HPT Lowering Line. See the PASS Rigging Instructions (PDF).
How do I clean PASS Straps?
Spot-wash by hand with warm water and mild detergent, then air dry. Don’t machine wash. Store cool, dry, and out of direct sunlight.
